We need Japanese translation and transliteration back to English pronunciation guide, and then so that it also includes transliteration into English. Would you be able to do it?

Yes. We do Japanese translation and transliteration of the Japanese as romanized text. The romanization of Japanese is actually called rōmaji and is written in Roman alphabetic characters. It is used to phonetically represent the pronunciation of Japanese characters using Roman symbols (the English alphabet), which is normally written in logographic characters borrowed from Chinese (kanji) and syllabic scripts (kana). This is done in any context where Japanese text is targeted at those who do not know the language. This way even an English native speaker can more or less pronounce Japanese without actually having any knowledge of the language.

Today we have done a Japanese translation of a video game text. Our translator was asked to produce a creative text that wouldn't just be a straightforward translation. Often, cultural aspects need to be taken into account when localizing a game for the Japanese market.

Post edited by: lenka, at: 2007/10/12 03:51
