Our cross-cultural training provides an invaluable guide and support through the process of cultural adaptation. It is helping business people, such as entrepreneurs, managers, investors or diplomatic staff to interact with counterparts from different cultural backgrounds.

The main focus is on doing business in a foreign country, understanding the business culture, business etiquette, meeting protocol, attitudes to working relationships, hierarchy and other cultural issues. The training is currently being offered for Vancouver based companies and individuals.

Cross-cultural Communication

This training is designed to assist individuals and companies with understanding cross-cultural differences, communicating with people from the target country, doing business in a foreign market and minimizing cultural misunderstandings. This training typically takes 3 or more days and includes:

Business and social etiquette;
Cross-cultural differences, perceptions and stereotypes;
Cross-cultural communication models;
Impact of culture on business;
Culture, history, values and national character;
Business ethics;
Comparison of business practices;
Attitudes to foreigners;
Public behaviour;
Practical matters (e.g. transport, entertainment, food and drink etc.).

Cross-cultural Training and Language Tutoring

This training module combines foreign language teaching with cross-cultural training. Managers and executives with an intermediate command of a foreign language will practice their language skills while learning new cultural features and elements of the target language and (business) culture. In role play exercises you will learn how to communicate with your business partners in a foreign language while practicing the common business etiquette of the target country. Country Briefing

This is a 3 hour overview of a specific country or culture. It is an introduction to a foreign country where you wish to establish your presence.

Briefing on the English-speaking Society

This training is intended for foreign nationals working with the British, Americans or Canadians. It is also taught to foreign nationals relocating to Vancouver, Canada. Your personal trainer will introduce a variety of topics from your areas of interest. This course typically takes 3 to 8 hours.
