LingoStar Fundraising for French, Czech & Slovak Language Education

LingoStar is raising money to fund French, Czech and Slovak language education for young children in Vancouver, BC.

The collected amount will be donated to a language group organized and run by LingoStar volunteers that will use it to organize language activities for children with the purpose of enhancing their multilingual language skills.

This cookie is hand-made of ginger and spices and hand-decorated by a Slovak lady in Vancouver who has been involved in creative arts activities for kids in the Czech and Slovak community. For every donation you make, LingoStar will donate one Cookie to be handed out to a child attending the language activities. Plus, if you wish, we will list your company on this webpage as our valued sponsor, see below.

Fundraising for French, Czech & Slovak Language Learning 

So why is LingoStar raising money for language education? As linguists we are aware of the many benefits of raising a child with multiple languages: increased intellectual potential and creative thinking, improved cognition and concept formation, greater cultural understanding and tolerance, wider future job opportunities and more!

Our goal is to raise funds to cover the cost of organizing language classes in French, Czech and Slovak where children will improve their language skills through play, games and music. The language group is especially in need of French, Czech and Slovak text books, picture dictionaries, alphabet and story cards, CDs with kids’ songs, story books, and other materials in all the three languages! This language activity group will be carried out by language group volunteers in Vancouver, BC in 2012.
